We are amongst the closest law firms in London to the commercial courts of the Royal Courts of Justice, including the Queen's Bench Division, Chancery Division and Commercial Court of the High Court of England and Wales, which are located on the edge of the City of London. We are able to be in a courtroom before a Master or Judge of the Court within minutes of leaving our offices other than in peak times.

We act promptly as London agents for international & UK solicitors, lawyers and international attorneys and law firms requiring steps to be taken before the English Courts, such as:

Applications to Court

  • applications for service of originating process out of the jurisdiction of UK Courts;
  • applications for substituted service and service of documents by an alternate means, where defendants  keep house or otherwise take steps to avoid service of documents and originating process;
  • attending case management conferences before High Court Judges, Circuit Judges, Masters of the Queen's Bench Division and Chancery Division of the High Court;
  • attending before Masters for directions and enquiries in respect of procedure, where the court procedure is not entirely clear;
  • organising and preparing preparation of Application bundles and Trial Bundles for hearings in the matter expected by English Judges and Masters;

  • applications to obtain copies of documents on Court files on behalf of offshore participants in English litigation;

Updating Court Bundles

  • assisting law firms remote to the Courts, by updating appeal bundles in the High Court and Court of Appeal;

Court Hearings

  • locating and briefing suitable barristers for hearings;
  • instructing counsel at hearings on behalf of those instructing us, where we are appointed as London Agents by businesses in other parts of the UK, or abroad;
  • preparation of court documents required to recover costs in summary assessments at interim hearings;
  • appearing in the Winding Up List of the Companies Court;
  • attending upon and instructing barristers in Court on interim applications where requested;

Appointments in Official Capacities

  • representing overseas law firms, liquidators and administrators to obtain appointment in an offical capacity, such as receiving the authority of the Court to act in respect of assets located within the UK;
  • appointments of probate for estates administered outside the UK.
