Aged 58 Nicholas Drukker was educated at Highgate School and served a full term of Articles with Christopher Frere-Smith, eminent sole practitioner solicitor advocate in the West End of London.

After qualifying in July 1975 he stayed with Mr. Frere-Smith for a year gaining experience in a wide variety of work including particularly advocacy. After a spell practising general litigation with a firm in Buckinghamshire he returned to London and for nearly 10 years was employed in the Commercial/Insurance litigation department of Herbert Smith developing in particular a reputation for professional negligence defence work for solicitors, accountants, surveyors and other professions.

Seeking to develop a new approach to the provision of legal services Nicholas Drukker set up his own practice in the City in November 1987. The intention behind this was and remains to provide a range and quality of services to be expected from a City practice, but with emphasis on developing a personal relationship between Solicitor and Client and at a more moderate price.

Nicholas Drukker's extramural interests include classic motor cars and steam railways. He has acted for societies and Clubs concerned with both interests, often on a pro bono basis.
