At NICHOLAS DRUKKER & Co, we see ourselves as very much part of your business. Acting in partnership with our clients, rather than as detached lawyers sitting in an ivory tower, we take a commercial, practical and objective approach to legal issues. In order to serve our clients' best interests we provide a level of contribution and involvement that extends beyond the bounds of mere technical legal expertise and advice.
We aim to understand your business and your needs so that, together, we may help your personal or commercial goals.
Who are our Clients?
General Commercial
The essence of the practice is our role as advisers to business clients for all day-to-day matters which may arise and require legal advice. The non-exhaustive list of out activities set out below is principally aimed at the commercial client and our location in the City of London reaffirms our commitment to the business community of the country as a whole.
International
A founding principle on which NICHOLAS DRUKKER & Co is based is the need to facilitate relationships between UK and non-UK based clients. Our extensive international contacts and in-house language skills have enabled us to pursue this aim and we ideally placed to guide overseas clients through the complexities of a Common Law Jurisdiction, and also to help British companies and individuals in dealings abroad.
New Business
Being a comparatively young firm, we have considerable empathy with commercial clients who themselves are either recently established or who are re-organising the nature or the location of their business. We provide general guidance and specialist advice on commercial, tax, management and statutory issues in the early stages of business life.
Insurance
We have a substantial and established insurance practice for composite insurers and also syndicates at Lloyds. We specialise in complex and technical litigation requiring intricate and detailed advice.
Conflict of Interest Avoidance
In an age of increasing rationalisation on a global scale the availability of choice to Clients seeking substantial commercial legal advice is limited by potential conflicts of interest. Many existing Clients of the well known large firms have come across this problem and have been asked to seek advice elsewhere. As a smaller firm we are far less likely to present our Clients with this difficulty and indeed a number of the major large firms who have confidence in us refer Clients to us for this very reason.
Heritage & Leisure
We have a number of clients engaged in projects involving industrial archaeology, such as marine salvage specialists, and restorers of, and clubs for, classic automobiles, steam locomotives and preserved railways.
The increasing public interest in such enterprises and the recognition of the importance of leisure activities, of which they form part, has transformed small organisations led by enthusiasts and volunteers into major national businesses.
Agency
We provide an efficient and economic service for firms of solicitors outside the centre of London requiring representation at hearings in the Royal Courts of Justice in the Strand and County Courts local to us, in particular the Mayor's and City of London Court and the Shoreditch County Court.
